Model Truth ("the extension") labels each ChatGPT answer with the model that wrote it and counts how many answers each model wrote for you. We do not run servers, we do not use analytics or tracking, and we never sell data.

What the extension reads

On chatgpt.com, the chat you have open, from the same conversation data the page itself loads with your existing sign-in, to find each answer's model name.

What the extension sends and stores

For the usage counter, the extension stores the model name and time of each new answer in your browser's local storage, along with any caps you set and whether Pro is unlocked. Entries older than 7 days are deleted automatically. No message text is stored. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else; removing the extension deletes it all.

Payments

Pro is sold through ExtensionPay, with payments processed by Stripe on their own pages. They collect your email and payment details to process the purchase; the extension never sees your card details.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
